World Earth DayPosted On : 22-Feb-2019 Posted By : Admin Jhalamand“What would the world be, once bereft, of wet and of wilderness? Let them be left, Oh! let them be left; wildness and wet; Long live the weeds and the wilderness yet” 22nd April, Earth Day, is all about appreciating the uniqueness of our planet Earth, while at the same time educating us about what we have and what we are losing by acting in ways that aren’t environmentally friendly. The day also reminds us that we need to take action now to protect our environment before it’s too late. THE SHANTI NIKETAN celebrated Earth Day with much enthusiasm. The aim was to sensitize the students towards their role in addressing global environmental challenges at grass root level. The senior slot passed on the message to SAVE EARTH in the form of a very expressive NUKKAD NATAK (INTER HOUSE )COMPETITION,Role plays on how Mother Earth is being harmed and can be saved from global warming were enacted. On the other hand the tiny tots collectively participated in watering the plants in the campus and took time out to appreciatethe beauty of the nature which on a daily basis go unnoticed. They were informed about planet Earth and why are plants and water important to us.To mark this day and to emphasize upon the need to save trees "HAPPY EARTH DAY" badges were pinned on every single TSNITE'S UNIFORM as a token of pledge to save all the blessings associated with NATURE. |
