Although becoming a parent is rewarding, it is also challenging. The responsibilities that parents must fulfill are huge.

As parents, we all hope to raise happy well-adjusted children. In order to do this, we at THE SHANTI NIKETAN on Saturday (12/10/19)organized an interactive session for parents with our counsellor 'DR.SHWETA PAREEK' who is a PhD in Clinical Psychology and holds a good experience as a professional counsellor.

Parents enthusiastically participated in the session where they had an open discussion on what are the key issues faced by children and how to tackle these sensitive yet growing minds.

Main highlight of the session was to help parents, motivate their kids in- being able to communicate their needs, get on well with others, try to do their best, manage their emotions, and feel good about themselves as they grow up.

Parents biggest concern was also solved as they explored positive ways by which they can become more involved in their young adolescent’s school experience. Identified steps they can take to solve problems, young adolescents may encounter at this tender age.

At the end the Parents learned more new ways as how to support children in academic, artistic and sporting endeavours - without placing undue pressure on the children.
